My yoga journey began early 2011 when I visited my dear friend Audrey in Chicago. She had been telling me about this hot yoga thing and some guy named Bikram, so I tagged along with her to one of her classes during my visit. Wow was it one of the most difficult workouts I have ever done! The after effects of the practice however, made the challenge totally worth it. I was shocked at how amazingly aware I became of the poor diet choices I had made that day and how they ultimately affected my practice. I quickly realized that the focus on the breath and keeping a calm mind during practice made me connect with my body in a way I have never been able to during a workout. It was the mind/body connection I had been missing. I was so thrilled to find a hot yoga studio in Springfield, MO. I began working in 1-2 classes a week and slowly built up to a full time practice. When the opportunity came up to train to be an instructor I couldn’t resist! Now I have begun a parallel journey as a yoga instructor and feel so blessed to be able to share my passion for yoga with others. What I love the most about this yoga is that it truly is for everyone. Everyday yoga for everyone! See you on your mat!
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
