I remember my first Sumits yoga class very well. I felt like I was playing a game of Twister, distracted because everybody on the front row knew what to do.

In the end I was exhausted, but the instructor invited me to come back the next day. I thought that seemed a little intense, but they offered the solution to just come in, acclimate to the heat and observe if need be.

I did.

I decided to get the new student special and made a silent vow to myself to come as much as I could those first two weeks.

I’m so glad I did.

Sumits Yoga is one of my favorite places to be. It is not only my challenge zone but also my comfort zone. I am delighted by the things I still learn each time I take a class. Through movement, observation, and compassion, I leave class a little lighter, a little nicer, and a little more inspired.
