About the Class

This 80 minute hot yoga class combines poses from Bikram and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, and is the core of our yoga world at Sumits. This class takes static poses to create focus, and adds vinyasa flow for strength and flexibility, and music is incorporated for motivaton. This is an all levels class that we recommend for beginners to advanced yoga practitioners. This series of poses in this class stays the same each class, but no two practices are identical. The challenge is yours to create! In this class you will flush toxins, increase flexbility, tone muscles and build strength.

BARRE

Barre is a high energy class that blends elements of ballet and Pilates with high-intensity interval training, yoga, and strength training. Barre is a whole-body workout based on movements derived from classical ballet and engages muscles you don’t normally target. In our barre classes you will combine high reps and low-impact movements to help you strengthen and sculpt your muscles. The workout incorporates the use of a ballet barre to enhance balance and stability while toning muscles throughout the body. These classes are choreographed to upbeat and fun music!

Hour Flow by Candle Light

1 hour flow class. Please use yogitoes for this class!! Best to have taken at least 10 regular classes first and be comfortable doing several pushups, lunges ...etc. This class is not recommended for first time yoga students!

Sumits Yoga

This 80-minute HOT yoga class at Sumits is the cornerstone of our yoga offerings. Combining static poses with vinyasa flow, the class is set to motivating music in a heated room to enhance health benefits like core strengthening, flexibility, and detoxification. Although the sequence of poses remains consistent, each session is unique, offering both beginners and experienced yogis a rejuvenating experience that not only challenges the body but also promotes mental healing, as emphasized by Sumit Banerjee, the creator of Sumits Yoga.

Sumits Gentle Flow

Why do gentle yoga? To renew the mind, body, and the spirit. Gentle Stretch yoga focuses on using the breath as a tool to release tension, and to find a deeper state of relaxation. This 60 minute class is the perfect complement to other Sumits Yoga classes, and will help to quiet your mind and invites you to release deeply held tension.

Sumits Yoga SCULPT

SCULPT is a unique combination of yoga, cardio, and weights. This class is a total body workout set to energizing music and designed to tone and sculpt every major muscle group. In this class free weights are added to a power flow sequence, creating resistance and intensity in each pose. Exercises such as pushups, squats, lunges, and bicep curls are integrated to build lean muscle mass, increase strength and flexibility, and boost metabolism. This is a hard class, but we have FUN! We recommend 2-3 lb. weights for this class.

This 60 minute class is similar to our full 80 minute Sumits Yoga & encompasses almost everything from the regular Sumits Yoga class. This is a great option on a busy day when 80 minutes doesn't fit into your schedule.

Hour Flow

This is a truly unique vinyasa practice that uses your own breath to link your movements while working on poses to tone, strengthen, and improve your balance and focus. This class, set to music, is great for those yogis ready to take the next step in their yoga journey, but is also appropriate for beginning students as well! Expect arm balance and inversion options in this practice, and if there is something you would like to work on in class, don’t be afraid to let your instructor know! This powerful practice is a fantastic way to get in touch with your breath, and connect your body and mind through intense flow. No two classes are ever the same!
